We have retained a lawyer, Richard Aramburu, to address the legal aspects of converting 85% of the open area of Wallingford Park into an athletic field for priority use by Seattle Public Schools. The letter below was sent to AP Diaz, The Superintendent of Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation, and cc’d to Richard Best, Seattle Public School Director of Capital Planning, on November 15, 2024. The documents that support this letter clearly show that SPS’s proposal is illegal.
